Scream 6 Concept Poster designed by: Creepy Duck Design (Which is badass I must say)
So where would I like to see the sixth installment go you ask? I would like to see a continuance of that night when the ambulance took Mindy and Chad away. I don't want much more of the hospital because it's already been done in the last one, but I feel like we can sneak one more in, for a sneak attack kill for the beginning. So the ambulance takes Mindy and Chad to two separate rooms due to different kinds of injuries. When Chad is sleeping in the hospital bed, there's a ring coming from the other room and it won't stop. No one is answering it. He calls for a nurse to have them take care of the phone but no one answers his call. So he struggles to get up out of bed and the ringing is still off in the distance then he finds the room where it's ringing. He opens the door, walks slowly over to the phone, allowing the tension to build then picks it up to hear a familiar voice. At first, they just show the terror on his face as the voice says "Hello Chad, thought you were going to get away from me alive?" Chad of course grows angry and confused all at once, grumbling at the phone, trying to hang it up but the voice says something as he's about to hang up. He tells him that Mindy is going to die if he doesn't stay on the phone with him. Ghostface toys with him a bit and then Chad hears footsteps coming towards the room he is in. Freaked out by ghostface, he hides under the bed, then footsteps are walking around the room, showing nothing but black boots booming across linoleum. The boots stop for a moment as Chad holds a hand over his mouth so he can't be heard then the boots walk out of the room. Chad rushes to his feet and gets out of that room, then when he looks behind him, ghostface is there. Chad is able to shove ghostface to get away from them, running down the hall, trying to get anyone's attention but it's graveyard shift so there's not many nurses or doctors etc. One nurse sees him out of bed, rushes to his aid but ghostface stabs her and Chad manages to escape. He runs to the end of the hall, where he sees Mindy laying on her bed, resting. He bangs on the door, trying to get her attention but when he does, when he pleas with Mindy to let him in, ghostface runs up and stabs him, while Mindy is watching from the otherside, she screams for him but ghostface kills him right in front of her, an homage to Scream 2, the scene with Dewey behind the glass looking at Gale while ghostface stabs him. Mindy then has to find a way to get passed ghostface without getting attacked. Mindy puts a chair in front of the door to keep them from coming in then decides to open the window to sneak out. Ghostface is kicking and pounding at the door, the tension increases as Mindy hesitates, looking at the ground, as ghostface busts open the door, Mindy leaps off the roof of the hospital.
Mindy gasps in pain from the impact of the jump but must act fast because ghostface is running full speed towards her. Mindy struggles to get back on her feet when they start to fight, both trying for the knife that's in ghostface's hand. Enraged by her brother's death, Mindy gets the upper hand as the knife is thrown from the killer's hand. Mindy retrieves it and screams at the top of her lungs: "This is for my brother you f**ker!!!!" then plunges the knife into the ghostface's chest, repeatedly stabbing them til they become limp. Mindy gets away from ghostface, leaving their dead body as she calls Tara to tell them that there was still another ghostface but that she killed them. Sam insists knowing who the killer is, but Sidney tries to convince Sam that it's always a bad idea to be curious to see who it is (An homage to Scream 2 when Hallie gets killed after Sidney goes back to see who the killer was under the mask). Sidney then decides to go with them, so does Gale, they all go together to the hospital to meet with Mindy. Mindy's on the ground by the ghostface's body, holding her stomach from previous wounds. Sidney walks up to the body and slowly unmasks the killer. A look of shock drains the color from her face as she looks at a bloody face of a female. Mindy then says: "Who is that?" Sidney still processing her shock finally says: "That's Leslie Macher, Stu's sister" They continue to look down at her and all of a sudden, she coughs up blood, gasping one more deep breath. She murmurs something and at first they can't make it out til Sidney crouches down to her mouth to hear Leslie gurgle: "Stu is back" Sidney reverts back to her '96 self as she hears that one name she thought she'd never hear again. Sam asks her what she said and Sidney says: "Stu Macher is back"....Sidney gets back up to her feet as Gale then says: "You remember what Dewey used to say" Sidney stares at Gale for a second, then takes out her gun and shoots Leslie in the head.
Then comes the opening title slashing through the screen: "SCREAM RETURNS"
Some time goes by and it's Dewey's funeral. So many people have gathered to memorialize him, Kirby pays her respects, Sheriff Burke says some words about him as a police officer, Sidney speaks of his protective love and loyal friendship then it ends with Gale saying goodbye to her best friend. I feel like if they show the funeral, we might not be as mad about him being killed in Scream 5 because then we'll pay the proper respects to him. Martha Meeks is with Mindy to pay respects to Dewey. So many characters to show up, many easter egg characters like Casey Becker's parents could be in this scene. They then lay Dewey to rest and Gale decides that it's not her fight anymore, that it's time for her to leave Woodsboro for good. So she tells of her plan to write her next book about a true hero then she leaves.
Kirby meets up with Sidney as they talk about past traumas and swap scar stories then Kirby leaves where she gets attacked at her house, but only attacked because this ghostface wants her to tell Sidney that an old enemy is looking for her, that soon she will get to reunite with that old enemy. Kirby tells Sidney about the attack and what ghostface told her so she decides that since she didn't get to fight back the last time she was stabbed, she will fight back this time so she involves herself. This one is all about loose ties, tying up loose ends and the mystery of is Stu actually back or does this killer only want to mess with Sidney so bad to make her think that he is back.
So the next person under crossfire is Martha Meeks. She gets killed because this particular killer is out of revenge for Leslie, Since Mindy killed her, this killer wants Martha dead. Christina, Sam and Tara's mother is targeted because of the link with Sam being Billy's daughter. Stu is thought to feel like he was not recognized as much as Billy was after the news had hit about their murder spree. Billy got all the glory and Stu was left out in many stories back then. So Christina gets killed because of being tied to Sam and with Billy. Sam and Tara don't feel safe so Deputy Vinson who is now sheriff, taking over after Judy Hicks was killed, has Deputy Farney watch over their house. Farney does get killed because ghostface wants Sam and Tara to themselves.
Sam becomes enraged after her mother is killed by ghostface and the rage enhances the visions of Billy who is adamant about trying to get her to unleash her dark side again but she fights it.
So my reveal of who the killer is, has a good reason for me to make it all make sense for Stu to be in question.....Is he or isn't he alive? And if so, is he trying to pick up where he left off? So I have decided to bring Vincent back because I believe we NEEDED to see more from that character, ESPECIALLY since he is related to Stu. So Vince reveals that he is the killer and they believe that he worked alone, BUT there is someone else helping him, but that someone is not revealed until the very end and only with a note that Sidney receives with a package on her porch that Mark Kincaid brings in. It has a bloody knife inside of it, no one knows who the blood belongs to.........and there's a note. Sidney slowly opens the note and it says:
"I STILL HAVE A THING FOR YA SID"
